Genealogical research on the Bartholomew family, centering on the life and family of Civil War veteran Francis Marion Bartholomew, 1849-1935, compiled into four binders and three folders of loose papers with an index. The binders hold photocopies of genealogical research from the National Archives, Crandall Public Library, and the Washington County Research Library (the Washington County Historian's Office). The photocopies are of pension and military records, correspondence, family charts, newspaper clippings, and copies of photographs of members of the Bartholomew family.

Francis Marion Bartholomew was born in Steuben County, N.Y. in 1849.
